Clinton County Sheriff’s Office warns motorists to plan for extra travel time Thursday
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Northwest Missouri motorists were warned to plan extra time for their travels Thursday, as the Clinton County Sheriff's Office will conduct a "Super Move," impacting several routes throughout the day.
The Super Move, which is an oversize load transport, will begin at 7 a.m. and occur in Buchanan, DeKalb and Clinton counties from St. Joseph to Lathrop
Drivers will experience the impacts, specifically at three separate routes:
- U.S. 169 Highway between St. Joseph and Gower
- U.S. 36 Highway between Cameron and St. Joseph
- Missouri 116 Highway between Plattsburg and St. Joseph
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office said delays will occur at various intervals throughout the entire day, as crews will be moving at 25 mph.
Drivers should expect to see a large presence of deputies escorting the load.
Clinton County Sheriff, AJ Carrel, advised the public in a Facebook post Wednesday night that there is no public risk associated with the move, as the law enforcement presence is strictly for traffic control and the safety of all motorists.
