Mid-Buchanan and North Platte boys to meet in the Class 3 District 15 championship

Bryce Kemper and his son Braydn will face off once again, this time in the Class 3 District 15 championship game after wins by the Mid-Buchanan Dragons and the North Platte Panthers.

The Mid-Buchanan Dragons defeated the Bishop LeBlond Golden Eagles, 71-61. The Dragons were led by Christopher Kowalweycz with 16 points, followed by Aiden Admire with 15 and Ian Campbell with 14. On the other side, the Golden Eagles had two standout performers with Walter Meierhoffer scoring 23 points and Ethan Nguyen scoring 17. Mid-Buchanan now stands at 22-4 on the season, while Bishop LeBlond wraps up their season at 12-16.

The North Platte Panthers defeated the East Buchanan Bulldogs, 51-48. North Platte improves to 23-4, while East Buchanan ends their season at 18-10.

#1 Mid-Buchanan will face #2 North Platte in the championship game at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Bishop LeBlond High School.
