Faith Christian Academy boys defeat Stewartsville/Osborn in the Class 1 District 15 championship
ROSENDALE, Mo. (KQTV) -- The 1 seed Faith Christian Academy Knights are district champions after defeating the 3 seed Stewartsville/Osborn WildCards, 60-56.
The WildCards came out hot in this one, knocking down four threes in the first quarter. A 14-2 run in the fourth quarter by the Knights helped them pull away and come out with the win. Max McMillen led the way for the Knights with 16 points, followed by Rhett Lehr with 12. Ian Saunders led all scorers with 24, while Cooper Langley finished with 14 for the WildCards.
Faith Christian Academy now improves to 23-3 on the year, while Stewartsville/Osborn ends with a 21-8 record.
The Knights will now head to North Platte High School on Tuesday and will face the Rock Port Blue Jays in sectionals. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
