North Platte boys hoops advance to the Class 3 State Quarterfinals after defeating South Harrison

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The North Platte Panthers keep on winning as they defeat the South Harrison Bulldogs, 78-61 in the Class 3 State Sectional.

North Platte was led by Jase Smith and Brenden Matt, who combined for 55 of the 78 points. Smith had 28 and Matt ended the evening with 27. On the South Harrison side, Brody Templeton led the way with 25, while Jett Cornett had 15.

The Panthers are now 25-4 on the year, while the Bulldogs finish the season with a 17-11 record.

North Platte moves on to the Class 3 State Quarterfinals where they will face Windsor. Game is set for Saturday at Staley High School with tip-off at 1 p.m.
