Savannah High School football wins City Jamboree for the 4th straight year

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The Savannah High School football team brought home its 4th straight City Jamboree title Friday night at Spratt Memorial Stadium on MoWest's Campus.

Savannah defeated Benton 18-0 and Central 12-0 in both of the matchups for the Savages.

In the game against Benton, junior Caylor Schrick had a touchdown pass to senior Aiden Heasten and junior Kingston Dreyer had back-to-back long touchdown scampers.

Against Central, senior Jackson Price had a long touchdown run for the Savages and junior Kenton Dudeck had a deep touchdown strike to Makel King. Senior Jake Bodenhausen also added an interception for Savannah.

In the other game, Central defeated Benton 18-0. Junior running back Austin Hardin had a short touchdown run for the Indians. Junior Hank Judah had a long touchdown pass to junior Lincoln Darnell and sophomore running back Jephda Hong added a rushing score.

Savannah opens the season at Pleasant Hill on August 28th, Central hosts Staley and Benton hosts Van Horn all on the same day. All games start at 7 pm.
