ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Our KQ2 High School Football Team of the Week from week 9 sponsored by Altec, goes to the Benton Cardinals.

The Cardinals took on the Chillicothe Hornets at home last Friday and came away with the victory, 31-20. The story of the night though was Benton clinched a winning record during the regular season, going 5-4. It is the first time Benton has had a winning season since 2010.

The Cardinals will have a chance to continue that success into the postseason. They will host the Van Horn Falcons to start district play on Thursday, Oct. 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Sparks Field.
