Mid-Buchanan High School volleyball sweeps Maur Hill Academy on the road

ATCHISON, Ks. (KQTV) - The Mid-Buchanan High School volleyball team is off to an incredible start to the season and added another win to its total Monday night with a 3-0 road sweep of Maur Hill Academy, (25-19, 25-15, 25-15).

The Lady Dragons improve to 17-0 on the season and have yet to drop a single set this year.

"We're just such good friends and so our communication is so good. We know how we play with each other and having everyone return again it's so easy for us to just jump right back in where we left off," said senior Camryn Atha. "I think that's just why we're doing so well."

"Stat wise we're not gonna probably have any individual huge number leaders but they don't care," said head coach Ron Underwood. "It's all balanced and everybody matters and everybody's important, it shows and Myia (Dillman) does a great job of getting everybody the ball."

Mid-Buchanan next hosts Plattsburg on Thursday, September 24th at 5 pm. Maur Hill drops to 8-3 on the season and next hosts Jefferson County North on Tuesday, September 22nd at 7 pm.
