St. Joseph Mustangs top Ban Johnson Raiders at home

ST. JOSEPH, Mo (KQTV) - The St. Joseph Mustangs baseball team suck by the Ban Johnson Raiders on Saturday night with a narrow 5-4 victory.

Six different Mustangs batters finished with RBI, led by Micah Kobuszewski who was 3-for-5 with 1 RBI. Seth Winkler was 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and Carter Belton was 1-for-4 with 1 RBI and his second home run of the season.

The Mustangs pitching staff struck out 12 batters Saturday night, led by Wyatt Doak who had 6 in 2 innings pitched and Sebastian Coleman who had 4 in 3 innings pitched.

The Mustangs improve to 2-1 on the season and are off until Tuesday, June 2nd when the team faces the Joplin Jailbirds on the road at 6:30 pm.
