St. Joseph Mustangs shut out KC Collegiate Baseball League in just seven innings

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The St. Joseph Mustangs baseball team cruised to a 10-0 victory in just 7 innings against the KC Collegiate Baseball League on Wednesday night.

Atchison High School alum Boston Bruce went 1-for-1 at the plate and added his second home run in the last week for the Mustangs. His solo bomb got the scoring started in the bottom of the first.

MoWest Griffon Seth Winkler finished 2-for-4 with 1 RBI for St. Joseph and Lafayette High School alum Brayden Luikart finished 2-for-3.

J.T. Adams got the start on the mound for the Mustangs, finishing with 7 strikeouts in 4 innings pitched while just giving up 3 hits and no runs.

Mustangs improve to 5-3 on the season and are back at home on Thursday, June 11th against the Chillicothe Mudcats at 6:30 pm.
