St. Joseph Mustangs win again, hold North Missouri Nattys to just 2 hits

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The St. Joseph Mustangs baseball team continues to steamroll its opponents as of late. The team knocked off the North Missouri Natty's 7-1 Friday night for win number 5 in a row and now a 7-3 record on the year.

MoWest Griffon Seth Winkler finished 1-for-3 with 2 RBI for the Mustangs, Lafayette High School alum Brayden Luikart finished 1-for-2 with 2 RBI. Charles Stevens added a web gem on defense Friday night as well with a diving catch in right field.

The Mustangs held North Missouri to just 2 hits all night. Lawson High School alum Lane Chapman led the way with 7 strikeouts in 4 innings pitched, he only gave up 2 hits and 1 run.

The Mustangs will face the Nattys again on Saturday, June 13th at 7 pm at Phil Welch Stadium.
