Tracking a sunny and mild late-week

Partly sunny and mild conditions Wednesday afternoon will give way to increasing clouds and a slight chance of rain showers after sunset, as a weak low-pressure system tracks across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Low temperatures overnight fall to near freezing before sunshine returns Thursday, promoting a nice warm-up with highs in the low to mid 60s and light westerly breezes. Mostly sunny skies and above average temperatures are anticipated to stick around Friday and much of Saturday, before colder air and a chance for light wintry precipitation returns Sunday.
