Tracking record heat on Thursday

A very warm Wednesday followed by a very warm Thursday will be found across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. Temperatures are expected to climb into the low 90's and possibly breaking the record of 89 degrees set back in 1991.

There will be a mix of sun and clouds, but don't let that fool you because its going to feel more like summer than spring on Thursday. The winds will start to pick up throughout the day, so hang on to your hats and be careful not to spend too much time out doors.

By the evening, temperatures will begin to drop quickly as a cold front moves by, setting us up for a much cooler Friday.
