Tracking a warm and mostly sunny Monday, t-storms Monday night

Partly to mostly sunny skies and warm air Sunday afternoon will give way to a cool-off overnight, with lows near 50 degrees and a slight chance of passing sprinkles. Periods of sunshine and a warming trend arrive Monday as afternoon highs rise well into the 80s. A chance of isolated thunderstorms will develop after 5 PM Monday as a wave of low pressure approaches Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Rain and thunderstorm chances increase Monday night and early Tuesday morning, with a low-end risk for a strong storm or two, although widespread severe weather is not expected. Cooler air follows Tuesday and Wednesday, along with lingering cloud coverage and scattered rain chances.
