Tracking weekend thunderstorm chances

We will start your Saturday with maybe a few scattered showers and thunderstorms across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri but by late morning we will start to see the clouds break apart and sunshine will start to sneak in.

The afternoon high temperatures will climb into the upper 70's and lower 80's with a lot of sunshine to be found across the area. Humidity levels will start to rise across the region making it start to feel a little uncomfortable.

Rain chances will increase Saturday night and Sunday morning and some of the storms could be on the strong to severe side. Coverage looks limited so not everyone will see the showers and thunderstorms. Monday looks like the day we have to keep a close watch on for more wide spread severe wewather.
