Tracking a dry & cool Wednesday

Good morning and happy Wednesday.

As you’re heading out the door this morning, temperatures are in the mid to upper 40s with mostly clear skies across the area.

A high-pressure system settling in to our north will keep conditions sunny and dry throughout the day. Even with plenty of sunshine, temperatures will remain on the cooler side, with highs only reaching the mid-60s this afternoon.

Overnight lows will fall back into the mid-40s before temperatures warm into the mid to upper 60s again Thursday. Rain chances return Thursday night and continue through Friday and into early Saturday morning.

Temperatures stay in the upper 60s to low 70s through Saturday before 80s return by Sunday as we dry back out.

There are still ongoing flood warnings along portions of the Missouri River in northwest Missouri near the Iowa border, as well as along the Platte River, Grand River, and One Hundred and Two River.

Remember to use caution around flooded waterways, and never drive through flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown—and avoid playing in floodwaters.
