Tracking rain chances late Sunday and early Monday

Widespread cloud coverage and a few light showers have moved into Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Sunday afternoon, as a weak disturbance tracks through the area. Spotty rain chances and mostly cloudy skies will persist through the evening, with mid to upper 70s giving way to lows in the 60s overnight. Better rain and thunderstorm chances will arrive early Monday morning, before dry skies and periods of sunshine return by late Monday afternoon with highs in the low 80s. A trend for the warmer and drier side is anticipated through the middle of the work week as highs return to the mid to upper 80s and sunshine becomes more prevalent.
