Tracking a Sunny and Hot Saturday

Mike Bracciano KQ2

Saturday is shaping up to be another very hot and sunny day across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri, so we will be keeping the Extreme Heat warning for all of the viewing area. We will start the morning with warm temperatures generally in the mid 70s, then quickly climb into the 80s.

By the afternoon the sunshine and the strong south winds will make the temperatures rise once again into the upper 90s with the high expected to be 98 degrees. The humidity will make it feel like 103 to 105 degrees during the afternoon.

The Extreme Heat warning remains in effect for the area until Tuesday so if you are going to spend any time outside, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, taking frequent breaks and find some shade or air conditioning whenever possible.
