Tracking Heavy Rain on Wednesday

Mike Bracciano KQ2

Wednesday looks to stay a little unsettled across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. Showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast especially during the morning hours. Some of the storms could contain some heavy rain for some of us.

We could wake up to rounds of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday morning after seeing some rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday night. We are under a Flood Watch that goes until Thursday at 1pm. Watch out for ponding water and localized flooding concerns Wednesday morning.

As we move into Wednesday afternoon we will start to see some clearing skies and might even see a few breaks in the clouds as we get into the afternoon hours. By Wednesday night we might see a few areas of patchy fog develop due to all the rain that has fallen across the area.

We will go back to sunshine on Thursday and temperatures will be just a little cooler with highs in the lower 80s.
