Tracking a Sunny and Mild Tuesday

Tuesday will start off fairly quiet across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri, but we will be watching our next weather system move into the area as the day goes along.

Look for mostly sunny skies through much of the day with temperatures climbing from the lower 60s during the morning to the upper 70s by the afternoon.

Shower chances will begin to increase during the late evening, with a few thunderstorms possible as well. The better opportunity for widespread rain and thunderstorms looks to arrive later Tuesday night into Wednesday.

South winds will pick up during the day, generally around 10 to 15 mph with a few higher gusts by the late afternoon and into the evening hours.

Better rain and thunderstorm chances come our way as we head into Wednesday and Thursday with the possibility of seeing anywhere from 2-4 inches of rain.
