Tracking Wednesday’s Wet Weather

Mike Bracciano KQ2

After several days of unusually warm, almost summer like temperatures, we are finally getting a change in our weather pattern across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri.

A strong storm system moving through the region will bring widespread rain, lots of clouds, and even a few scattered thunderstorms. We will also notice a big drop in our temperatures on Wednesday.

Wednesday morning don't forget to grab that umbrella if you are heading out the door because we are looking at a cloudy and rainy start to the day. By mid morning we will see scattered showers and maybe a few thunderstorms in the area. Some of the rain could be heavy at times especially around some of the thunderstorms.

By the afternoon the rain chances stay in the forecast and the possibility for some thunderstorms will remain as the cold front will stall out over the area. It will not rain the whole day but we will see plenty of clouds and cooler temperatures with highs only in the lower 70s.
