Tracking a Windy and Cool Friday

Mike Bracciano KQ2

The end of the work week we will notice a big change in our weather as cooler air settles into Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. After seeing some unusually warm temperatures earlier in the week, we are finally getting back to more normal type of weather.

We will start the morning on a chilly note with temperatures in the middle 40s. We will expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day, but don't look for much of a warm up. Afternoon highs will struggle to reach the middle 50s, with us topping out at 55 degrees.

The other big story will be the wind. A gusty north to northwest breeze will make it feel even cooler, The winds could gust as high as 40 miles per hour. We also will be watching a few more clouds move into the area by the evening hours but they will quickly move away setting us up for a cold Saturday morning.
