Tracking a Sunny and Cool Saturday

Mike Bracciano KQ2

we are seeing a taste of fall across Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri this weekend. After a big drop in the temperatures, Saturday will begin on a cold note, but the good news is that we are looking at plenty of sunshine and a much more comfortable afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s across the area, with St. Joseph dropping to around 30 degrees by sunrise.

A freeze Warning is in effect early Saturday morning, and widespread frost is expected. If you have some sensitive plants or flowers outside, now is the time to bring them indoors or make sure they are protected.

The colder weather won't stick around very long. By Sunday, sunshine will continue and the afternoon highs will reach into the upper 60s. The warming trend will continue into the next week, with highs reaching into the mid to upper 70s and even some lower 80s.
