Tracking a breezy Sunday evening, cool and gray Monday

After record heat Saturday, seasonably cool air and breezy conditions have settled into Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas to round out the weekend. Aside from cooler temperatures and gusty north winds, cloud coverage has also returned to the region following last night's cold front. Clouds will gradually clear through the evening and overnight hours, with gusty north winds at 20 to 35 mph slacking off after sunset. Low temperatures will fall into the low 30s by early Monday morning, making for a chilly start to the day. Cloud coverage will return Monday with highs in the mid 50s, light southeast winds, and no chance for appreciable rainfall. Another warming trend will once again bring above average temperatures to the area by mid-week, with highs climbing well into the 80s Wednesday and Thursday!
