Tracking warming temperatures and more sunshine

Good morning and happy Tuesday. It’s warmer at the door this morning compared with yesterday. Temperatures are in the upper 30s to low 40s, with winds now out of the south. That southerly breeze will help keep us on the mild side and continue warming us through Thursday.

We’ll see partly cloudy conditions today, but with a bit more sunshine than yesterday. Winds will remain light out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Highs today will stay mild, and by Wednesday, we’ll warm into the upper 80s as warmer air continues to settle in. Expect more sunshine Wednesday than today.

By Thursday, there is a chance for near-record warmth. However, the timing of an approaching cold front could limit how high temperatures climb.

That cold front will move through Thursday afternoon into the evening, bringing scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Rain chances will continue through the evening and into the early morning hours Friday.

The biggest impact will be the cooler air behind the front. Temperatures will drop from the upper 80s Thursday to the low 50s by Friday morning. Highs will rebound into the 60s Friday with mostly sunny conditions. Sunshine continues into Saturday, with temperatures returning to the 70s by Sunday.
