Tracking t-storm chances, severe threat Sunday night and late Monday

Chances for strong to severe thunderstorms will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas to finish out the weekend and start the work week, posing a risk for damaging winds, hail, tornadoes, and localized flooding. Round 1 of strong storms is possible late Sunday night and into the pre-dawn hours of Monday morning, with the highest threat remaining across parts of Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas, but still a risk for severe storms locally. Monday afternoon will offer a break from the action with partly cloudy skies and a toasty afternoon, before a second risk for severe weather materializes Monday evening and overnight, with and enhanced risk for severe storms encompassing the entire viewing area.
