Tracking a mild and dry start to the week, rainy days ahead

Partly cloudy skies, seasonable temperatures, and minimal rain chances will make for a pleasant end to the weekend and start to the week across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Highs in the mid to upper 70s Sunday afternoon will give way to a cooler night with lows falling well into the 60s and light easterly breezes. Passing clouds will once again be accompanied by peaks of sunshine on Monday with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s and light winds. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to return to the area late Tuesday, leading into a wetter period through the middle of next week as multiple waves of low pressure track across the region.
