Tracking warmer temps and dry into the weekend

Abigail McCluskey

Good morning, and happy Wednesday! Temperatures are much warmer this morning, starting in the 50s across the area.

Temperatures will continue to climb throughout the day, reaching the mid- to upper 70s this afternoon. Cloud cover will increase through the morning, with a few isolated showers possible. However, as temperatures warm later this afternoon, clouds will gradually decrease, allowing for some sunshine to return.

Overnight lows will remain mild, falling into the 50s. Even warmer temperatures are expected Thursday and Friday, with highs climbing into the upper 70s.

Dry conditions will prevail through the remainder of the workweek and most of the weekend. A cold front will approach the area Sunday, bringing a slight chance of a few isolated showers. However, the better chance for rain arrives Monday as the front moves through.

Behind the front, temperatures will cool closer to seasonal averages, with highs in the 60s Monday before dropping into the low to mid-60s Tuesday.

Overall, expect a warm and mostly dry stretch through the weekend before rain chances return early next week.
