Flood Warning issued May 18 at 10:35AM CDT until May 22 at 3:10PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Grand River near Gallatin affecting Daviess and Livingston
Counties.

Grand River near Sumner affecting Linn, Carroll, Chariton and
Livingston Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Grand River near Gallatin.

* WHEN…Until Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 33.0 feet, Over twenty thousand acres of farmland
flood. In addition, a sand and gravel operation downstream of
Highway 6 is threatened by flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 27.1 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.4 feet
early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Thursday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
