Flood Warning issued May 18 at 9:59AM CDT until May 22 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Missouri River at Napoleon affecting Jackson, Lafayette and Ray
Counties.

Missouri River at Waverly affecting Saline, Carroll and Lafayette
Counties.

Missouri River at Glasgow affecting Howard, Saline and Chariton
Counties.

Missouri River At Miami affecting Saline, Carroll and Chariton
Counties.

Missouri River at Boonville affecting Moniteau, Howard, Boone and
Cooper Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Missouri River at Napoleon.

* WHEN…From Tuesday evening to Friday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Low-lying areas unprotected by levees begin
to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 6.3 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 19.2 feet Wednesday evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late Thursday evening.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
