Flood Warning issued May 19 at 10:07AM CDT until May 20 at 9:42PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

102 River at Maryville affecting Nodaway and Andrew Counties.

102 River at Rosendale affecting Buchanan and Andrew Counties.

Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County.

Tarkio River at Fairfax affecting Holt and Atchison Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Tarkio River at Fairfax.

* WHEN…Until Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 25.0 feet, Levees in the vicinity of Fairfax are
overtopped. Flooding of farmland along with homesteads and roads
occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 24.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is near crest and is expected to fall below
flood stage late this evening.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
