Flood Warning issued May 19 at 8:20PM CDT until May 24 at 2:03PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River near Platte City affecting Platte County.

Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County.

Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River at Sharps Station.

* WHEN…Until Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 31.5 feet, The south approach to the Highway B bridge
over the Little Platte River is under water due to backwater from
the Platte River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 25.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 31.8 feet early Friday afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
