Flood Warning issued May 19 at 8:31PM CDT until May 21 at 7:08AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas…

Stranger Creek at Easton affecting Atchison and Leavenworth
Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Stranger Creek at Easton.

* WHEN…Until Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 19.5 feet, Highway 192 just east of Easton is closed
due to swift current of water over the road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 2.3 feet Sunday evening.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
