Flood Warning issued May 20 at 10:02AM CDT until May 23 at 8:42PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Grand River near Brunswick affecting Chariton and Carroll Counties.

Grand River near Gallatin affecting Livingston and Daviess
Counties.

Grand River near Pattonsburg affecting Daviess and Gentry Counties.

Grand River near Sumner affecting Linn, Chariton, Livingston and
Carroll Counties.

Grand River near Chillicothe affecting Livingston and Linn
Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Grand River near Chillicothe.

* WHEN…Until Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 35.0 feet, U.S. Highway 65 south of Chillicothe is
threatened by flood water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 33.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 33.7 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday
evening.
– Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
