Flood Warning issued May 20 at 4:56AM CDT until May 22 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Missouri River at Napoleon affecting Lafayette, Ray and Jackson
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Missouri River at Napoleon.

* WHEN…Until late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Low-lying areas unprotected by levees begin
to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 4:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
morning to a crest of 17.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall
below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
