Flood Warning issued May 20 at 8:36AM CDT until May 23 at 6:15PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River near Agency.

* WHEN…Until Saturday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river will remain nearly steady through much of
Thursday. The river will then fall below flood stage by Friday
evening
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
