Flood Warning issued June 11 at 8:07PM CDT until June 15 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Missouri…

Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River near Agency.

* WHEN…From late tonight to Monday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Low-lying areas east of Agency begin to
flood. At 25.0 feet, Flooding begins at the east border of Agency.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tonight to a crest of 25.2 feet early Saturday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
