Flood Warning issued October 1 at 3:16AM CDT until October 4 at 5:14PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Grand River near Chillicothe affecting Livingston and Linn
Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Grand River near Chillicothe.

* WHEN…From this morning to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 24.0 feet, Low-lying cropland floods. At 28.0 feet,
Rural roads are under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 28.8 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
