Tracking morning freezing drizzle and slick spots

UPDATE: Winter weather advisory has been cancelled, so the KQ2 Action Alert day has been lifted.

Temperatures are at or just above freezing this morning, which will impact freezing drizzle chances. Even so, a few slick spots are possible, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Highs today will climb into the mid 40s. Patchy freezing drizzle may linger through midafternoon before conditions turn drier. Rain chances return late tonight and into early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, a few rumbles of thunder are possible as rain and isolated thunderstorms move through the area.

We’ll continue warming throughout the week, with highs returning to the upper 60s and low 70s. Rain chances remain persistent through Friday, and this will be an active week with measurable rainfall expected.
