Tracking a soggy and foggy Tuesday

Good morning, and happy Tuesday.

It’s a soggy, misty and foggy start across northwest Missouri. Visibility is reduced this morning as low-level clouds, mist and areas of fog linger across the region. Spotty showers will continue at times throughout the day, with rain chances between 60% and 70%.

Temperatures will be slightly warmer than yesterday, with afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Rain chances return Wednesday at 40% to 60%, with temperatures continuing to warm into the middle 50s.

By Thursday, we could see a little sunshine, and rain chances decrease to 20% to 30%.

We are also watching the potential for strong to severe storms Friday across the viewing area. We’ll continue to monitor that closely as we get new data in the coming days.

After Friday, sunshine and drier conditions return for the weekend. Highs will climb into the upper 50s and middle 60s.
