Semi driver seriously injured after overturning on I-35 in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 28-year-old man from Cleveland, Tennessee, driving a Freightliner, was seriously injured after overturning on Interstate 35 early Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred around 5 a.m. at the 83-mile marker on I-35, just five miles north of Pattonsburg, Missouri.

The vehicle was southbound on I-35 when it traveled into the median, overcorrected and returned to the southbound lanes and overturned onto its driver's side.

The Freightliner came to rest on its driver's side, partially in the driving lane and off the west side of the roadway.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was transported by North MO EMS to Liberty Hospital.
