St. Joseph organizations to host drug takeback event

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Residents are invited to turn in used or expired medications for safe disposal.

The Prescription Take Back will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, on the west side of the East Hills Mall.

Anyone in need of disposing of medications can bring in controlled, non-controlled, over-the-counter substances and sharps.

The event is sponsored by the Youth Alliance Partners for Prevention, Buchanan County Sheriff's Office and the St. Joseph Police Department.
