Voter registration deadline approaches for April General Municipal Election

BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- With the April 7 General Municipal Election just a month away, Buchanan County voters have until Wednesday to register to vote.

Residents looking to register can do so at the County Clerk's Office, any Public Library, by mail, online at the Missouri Secretary of State website or at the Driver's License Bureau.

Residents become registered bny completing a form with identity and residence informationa and qualification that are signed and sworn to, then witnessed by the election authoirty or designated deputy.

Voters must be 18-years of age by the day of a particular election to be eligible to vote in that election.

Ballots for Buchanan County's General Municipal Election will feature Mayoral, City Council and School Board candidates.

Sample ballots can also be found on the Buchanan County Clerk's website, and coodinate with each voting district.
