United Way hosts learning session for educators

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- United Way Success By 6 is hosting its Autism-Informed Teaching for Every Learner training on Saturday, March 21.

The session will be held for early care and education providers, but community members who want to learn from the session are invited as well.

The training will be led by Cheryl Cotter and Cristen Sassi.

The two have presented across the United States to audiences about early care and education.

Those who attend the training will "Learn how to view learning differences through a strength-based lens, and how to match supports and teaching strategies to the child's perspective, learning needs and environment".

The session will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. at Wyatt Park Christian Church Fellowship Hall, and will have a $15 entry fee.
