Tracking a breezy and warmer end to the weekend

Dry air and breezy conditions Saturday afternoon and evening will continue to result in elevated fire danger across the Mid-Missouri River valley. Seasonable temperatures and partly sunny skies Saturday will give way to a cool and mostly clear night with southerly breezes continuing. A warming trend builds into the region Sunday as afternoon highs warm well into the 70s, with partly sunny skies and southerly winds at 15 to 25 mph. Temperatures continue warming Monday, peaking in the mid to upper 80s, before a low pressure system brings rain chances and a cool off by the middle of next week.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear, cool and breezy. Low 41.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy, breezy and warmer. High 75.

MONDAY: Partly sunny, warm and windy: High 86.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for all of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas from 12 PM through 8 PM Saturday. Steady north winds and dry air will result in an elevated risk for spreading fires through the period.
