Fire destroys home on Lakefront Lane

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Fire Crews responded to a structure fire near Lakefront Lane around 5 p.m. Monday.

The flames destroyed the home; however, fire crews were able to put the flame out before 6 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the incident, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

The Landlord of the property said neighbors reported the fire getting started from the porch. The tenant was not home at the time.
