Juvenile injured in shooting, SJPD calls for assistance in searching for suspect

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Police Department said a male juvenile sustained injuries after a shots fired incident Tuesday evening.

SJPD responded around 6 p.m. to reports of shots fired following a possible fight at South 18th and Charles Streets.

When officers arrived, a male juvenile had sustained injuries and was transported to Mosaic life Care for treatment.

Currently, no one is in custody. Investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.

The incident remains under investigation and SJPD said no additional information is being released at this time.

St. Joseph police are asking for assistance as they investigate the shooting.
