Daviess County Sheriff’s Office confirms tornado near Gallatin

DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Following severe storm warnings throughout the Northwest Missouri region, the Daviess County Sheriff's Office confirmed a tornado touched down near Gallatin, Missouri.

The confirmed touchdown happened at 4:35 p.m., just 10 miles northeast of Gallatin, moving at 30 miles per hour.

The Sheriff's Office is urging residents to stay safe and take shelter away from windows.
