ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Missouri Theater will celebrate its centennial with guided tours over the summer.

Tours will start at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Mondays throughout June and July: June 15, June 22, June 29, July 6 and July 13.

Frank Polleck, long-time theater tech, will lead the first tour each Monday. One of several other knowledgeable theater devotees will lead the second tour as needed.

Among the devotees are Beth Sharp, retired director of the Performing Arts Association, former Saint Joseph Symphony Manager Lori McAlister, Karl Wellenkoetter, Administrative Assistant at the Performing Arts Association and Noel Good, early administrative assistant for Town Hall Center and a 40-year violinist for the Saint Joseph Symphony.

Reservations are not required for the tours, but are encouraged, especially for groups of five or more. Reservations can be scheduled by emailing CelebrationSeries2027gmail.com or calling Committee Chair Lori McAlister at 402-802-2099.
