Voting data shows northwest Missouri voters opposed Amendment 4

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- After Amendment 4 failed in the Primary Election Tuesday, here's a look at how voters across Northwest Missouri counties cast their ballots. 

Under proposed Amendment 4, a citizen-led initiative petition would require a majority of votes in each of Missouri’s congressional districts for it to pass, which will limit the initiative petition process.  

• Atchison County: 27.5% voted yes, while 72.5% voted no. 

• Andrew County: 22% supported Amendment 4, while 78% opposed it. 

• Buchanan County: 18.1% voted in favor, and 81.9% voted against it. 

• Caldwell County: 21.8% supported the amendment, while 78.2% voted no. 

• Clinton County: 20.4% voted yes, compared to 79.6% who voted no. 

• Daviess County: 18.5% of voters supported Amendment 4, while 81.5% opposed it. 

• DeKalb County: 20.5% voted in favor, while 79.5% voted against the amendment. 

• Gentry County: 20% supported Amendment 4, while 80% rejected it. 

• Harrison County: 19.9% voted yes, while 80.1% voted no. 

Across these Northwest Missouri counties, support for Amendment 4 remained below 30%, with every county recording a clear majority of voters opposed to the measure.
