Osborn man, motorcycle driver seriously injured in DeKalb County crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- An Osborn, Missouri, man is seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash south of Clarksdale, Missouri, Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 36 Highway at Missouri Route 31, just five miles south of Clarksdale.

The 46-year-old male driver of a 2015 Harley-Davidson was westbound on U.S. 36 Highway, while a 31-year-old male driver from Stockton, Missouri, of a 2015 Nissan Altima was southbound on MO-31.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the Nissan came to a stop at MO31 and 36 Highway, but failed to yield to the motorcycle.

The Nissan struck the side of the motorcycle and came to rest on its wheels in the median facing west, while the motorcycle came to rest on its side in the crossover facing north.

According to MSHP, the driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt and the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Mosaic Life Care, while the driver of the Nissan refused medical treatment.
